DAWN RICHARDSON

DAWN RICHARDSON

DIRECTOR OF ADVOCACY, NVIC.ORG

Dawn is the Director of Advocacy for the National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC). NVIC is a non-profit charity founded in 1982 to prevent vaccine injuries and deaths through public education and defend the informed consent ethic in health policy and law.

Dawn created and launched the NVIC Advocacy Portal in 2010 to provide free online education about proposed state vaccine laws and communication how to take action to support or defeat proposed vaccination laws. Under Dawn’s leadership, the NVIC Advocacy Program has analyzed, tracked and issued positions on over 3500 vaccine related bills and has worked with legislators, organizations and advocates across the United States.

Dawn developed model language to eliminate the threat of vaccine mandates and forced vaccination in society including for access to businesses, employment, health care, insurance, education, government facilities and services, and by emergency powers. This was shared with many state leaders through a training session, and, subsequently, these dedicated freedom and informed consent leaders reached out to their legislators, which assisted in the filing of bills in 49 states in the 2021 legislative session providing various types of protection from COVID-19 vaccine passports or COVID-19 vaccine mandates.  This effort contributed to the passing of protective language in 20 states.

Dawn has also led a highly successful 26 year legislative advocacy and public education campaign in her home state of Texas contributing to positive legislative changes including the passage of a statewide conscientious belief exemption to vaccination, the vacating of a gubernatorial executive order for mandatory HPV vaccines, the defeat of proposed bills to eliminate the conscientious exemption, the institution of medical privacy protections and opt-in informed consent requirements in the statewide vaccine tracking system, and the ban of vaccine passports for COVID-19 vaccines in Texas.

Dawn hosts and creates the content for the weekly Children’s Health Defense Live TV show called Advocacy Lifeline with Dawn Richardson airing on Mondays at 2:30 pm EST.

Dawn graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Electrical Engineering and previously worked for IBM designing microprocessors.  Her combined experience with computer hardware and software and advocacy for vaccine choice and medical records privacy has made Dawn a leading national resource on the threats vaccine tracking systems pose to medical freedom and informed consent rights.

CO-DIRECTOR, LOUISIANA HEALTH CHOICE

educating and advocating amongst members of the legislature, both state and federal. In 2022,
she was selected by Central City News as one of 25 Louisiana Freedom Fighters, a hero of the
constitutional crisis.
Jill is the mom of three beautiful children, each injured by childhood vaccines in various ways.
